About the project
Georges Online Academy was founded in 2024 to bridge the gap between learners and expert tutors through accessible, affordable and flexible online tutoring. It offers one-on-one and group sessions in Mathematics, English, Science and Kiswahili for elementary, middle and high school students.
We designed and built georgesacademy.online as the academy's full platform: a place for families to find a tutor, browse courses and pay, and for tutors to join and teach.
The challenge
What stood in the way
An online academy has to win the trust of parents before a single lesson is booked, while serving students on many different curricula.
Trust at a distance
Parents choosing an online tutor needed to see vetted educators, real reviews and a clear mission before signing up.
Two sides of the platform
The site had to sign up students and recruit tutors, with payments that work for local and international families.
Our approach
How we built it
We built the platform around a simple promise, "Learning that fits your life. Teaching that shapes your future", and made every step from discovery to first lesson easy to follow.

Payment plans with KES and USD pricing, language options, a welcome video, testimonials from parents and students, and a Join as a Tutor path to grow the teaching team.
The outcome
What changed
Georges Online Academy now runs on a platform that explains its value in seconds, helps families pick the right tutor and course, and gives the academy a way to keep recruiting tutors as it grows.
